The Princess Bride + workshop with Agni Scott
October 27 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm£4 - £8
The actress Agni Scott (Bridget Jones’s Baby, The Hamburg Cell, Akamas) presents one of her favourite films of all times, preceded by a creative workshop especially developed for us.
The Princess Bride, featuring a young Robin Wright, is a beloved traditional fairytale adventure about a beautiful princess and the gallant hero who rescues her from an evil villain. This is an enchanting Oscar nominated classic that the whole family will love.
While home sick in bed, a young boy’s grandfather reads him a story called The Princess Bride (the movie is actually based on a novel), with the promise that it has everything one wishes for in a book “Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles”. While the grandfather reads, it all comes to life…
Before the screening, Agni Scott will lead a drama workshop that she describes as follows: “Enter a world of a magical adventure inspired by this great classic film. Ever wanted to be a pirate, a knight, fight an Evil prince, a Giant? Want to know how to cross the bog of eternal stench? Scale a three hundred foot mountain? Come along and discover how. Bring clothes you can move in, and your imagination.” Recommended ages for the event: 7 to 11 years old.
Tickets are £4 for children and £8 for adults (workshop + film). Your ticket will be the e mail confirmation you receive, and we have a list of attendees at the venue.
DIRECTOR: Rob Reiner
CAST: Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Robin Wright, Peter Falk, Billy Crystal.
RUN TIME: 1 hour 38 mins
The workshop is included in the ticket price.
